Balaadur likely title for Ravi Teja film
Ravi Teja-Anushka combine film in the direction of Uday Shankar with D. Suresh
Babu producing it is likely to have a mass title Balaadur. The film is in the
last leg of its production and is likely to hit the marquee in June last.
Interestingly, info about the film's progress is little known to the public
after the tragic incident of Ravi Teja's dupe getting killed in the river mishap
near Rajahmundry, recently.
Chiru in Ali's Sombheri
Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to appear in Ali's latest starrer Sombheri (with
tagline Sobhanaaniki Kuda Baddakasthude). Produced by Y. Venkat Rao with debut
direction by lyricst Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao, the film has a song on
creating awareness over killer disease AIDS, with sharing steps with a busy
dancer from Mumbai. As the song goes on, the audience will see the picture of
Chiranjeevi in one shot, with next frame followed by that of Mother Theresa.
After the film's audio release by AR Rehman, the publicity prompted director
Jonnavittula to step up the hype. The film was scheduled to release in the
second week of May, but it didn't happen. Latest, the film is likely to hit the
screens next week.
MS Raju's debut as actor
Words spoken in the lighter vein could turn into deeds, sometimes. Star producer
turned director MS Raju is set to play a cameo in Vinayakudu, the new film
starring Sonia (Sravanti of Happy Days) opposite a debut hero Krishnudu. During
the launch of the film's logo at a star hotel in city on April 13th last, MS
Raju was a guest, who said that he was popularly called as Vinayakudu in Telugu
film industry. When producer Prem Kumar sought Raju to do a role in his film,
the latter didn't confirm. Now, Raju will be seen making his debut as an
artiste, sparing a day of his schedule for the film.
Dr. Nagabhairava hospitalized
Popular film writer Dr. Nagabairava Koteswara Rao (77) is undergoing emergency
treatment at a corporate hospital in city. He has been suffering from cancer and
diabetic-related ailments. A close associate of late actor and former chief
minister NT Rama Rao, the writer penned the script for the film Brahmarshi
Viswamitra, apart from writing lyrics for a good number of movies. Telugu
university conferred honorary doctorate on him in 90s. During a career spanning
over three decades, he had introduced 200 upcoming lyricists to the film and
literary circles.
