Chakri's padayatra tomorrow
Music Director Chakri will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow (June 14th)
amidst his fans in Hyderabad. Given to initiate social service year, Chakri is
undertaking a 3-KM padayatra from KBR Park to Dr. Ramanaidu Complex in Film
Nagar. About a thousand participants are expected to join the public event. The
march is to promote consumption of water and power, besides creating awareness
on AIDS and Cancer. Kill piracy is another slogan for the day. JK Madhu,
president of Chakri Fans Association, said blood donations camps would be
organized on 14th and 15th.
Abhinayasree as tough cop Bhairavi
Item girl turned actress Abhinayasree gets ready in as and Bharavi. Made on
Rahul Movie Makers banner, it's produced by Ramana Mogili and direction is by BO
Subbareddy. Vijayanand and Sairabhanu play the screen pair. The subject is set
to a mirror to the existing atrocities on women. Abhinayasree dons the role of a
heroic police officer to fight out the oppression of the weaker sex. Its audio
will be released by month end. Ramireddy, Dinesh and Pale Hegde are among the
key roles.
Sri Lankan Film fete in Hyderabad
Sri Lankan On the occasion of the Sri Lankan cinema turning sixty years, the
Hyderabad Film Club is organizing a 9-day Sri Lankan Film Festival at Sarathy
Studios, Hyderabad. Commencing tomorrow (June 14th), ten select films, which got
wide public response, will be screened, during the period. Gamyam director
Krishh and HFC president KNT Sastry are organizers of the event. Winners of the
recent National Awards in Tollywood – for the films Kamli, Hope and Kittu –
would be honored on this occasion. When asked about the efficacy of screening
Sri Lankan films in Hyderabad, KNT Sastry said that he had no idea about it. "We
don't know anything about the statistics of Sri Lankan population in Hyderabad.
It is for the general film enthusiast."

P Kishore Babu was dubbing Tamil blockbuster Pattiyal (Bharat, Arya & Pooja) of
Telugu as ‘Gayam’. Audio of tis film scored by Yuan Shankar Raja was released
recently. Producer held a press meet today n invited music directors RP Patnaik
n Ramana Gogula. Both these music directors praised d film n d music.
