Director Samudra is turning into production now by starting Samudra Silver
screens banner. He will be directing
a film titled Mallepoovu with Bhumika playing the lead role. Murali who did a
negative role in Oka Voorilo is

Actress Jayasudha is into designing sarees as well. Her latest designer
collection of Sarees would be kept for
exhibition cum sale on 22nd March 2008 at Hotel Taj Banjara from 10 am to 8 pm.

Sobhan Babu is no more
Yesteryears popular hero Sobhan Babu (71) expired today morning. He expired due
to spinal card injury after
falling while walking on the steps. He was born in 14 January in 1937 in China
Nandigama as Uppu Sobhana
Chalapati Rao. He changes his name as Sobhan Babu after entering the films. He
made his debut with Bhakta
Sabari. He won 5 Nandi awards and 4 filmfare awards. He retired from films 13
years back and has been spending
retired life in Chennai. He is survived by a son and three daughters. The
cremation will have once his elder
daughter arrives from USA. May his soul rest in peace!
Aswini Dutt to produce a film with Krish
Krish who got good recognition with his debut film Gamyam is going to direct his
next film soon. Big producer C
Aswini Dutt will produce it. In the music launch function of Gamyam itself C
Aswini Dutt announced that he
would produce the next film of Krish.
Sairam Shankar as Vaade Kavali
Sairam Shankar’s latest film is titled as Vaade Kavali. Suhasi is playing female
lead. Chandrahas is another
hero in the film. Shooting of the film is complete. The dubbing is going on now.
Music will be launched this
month end. RP Patnaik composes songs. Rajendra Darsan directs this film.

Mahesh Babu relieved
Warangal court quashed d case against Mahesh Babu on 6th July. Mahesh Babu n
Guna Sekhar were accused of attacking a video shop of Warangal 4 procuring
pirated VCDs of Arjun film. Warangal court quashed d case due to lack of
evidence. Mahesh Babu attended d court today of Warangal.
Amma Cheppindi on 28th July
Gangaraju Gunnam’s directorial venture Amma Cheppindi will be released on 28th
of tis month. Sharvanand n Shirya play main leads n Suhasini was playing
mother’s role. Audio of tis film has already become popular. MM Keeravani scored
music. Sandeep Gunnam (Gangaraju’s son) was making his debut as cinematographer.
Gangaraju also penned dialogues. Urmila Gunnam n Sai are producing tis film on
Just Yellow banner.

NTR’s Ashok censored
NTR’s 13th July release Ashok film was sent to censoring today. tis film comes
with lot of specialties. Ashok was d first south Indian film to be shot entirely
with S35 camera. Earlier tis camera was used to shoot a few parts of Style film.
E Fx of Mumbai has done an extensively digital grading 4 tis film 4 over a month
n half. NTR was expected to bounce back with vengeance with tis high profile
film. Surender Reddy directed tis film. Valluripally Ramesh produced this on
Maharshi Cinema banner.
Prabhas’s film started
The regular shooting of Prabhas’s latest film of d direction of VV Vinayak
started on 1st of tis month. tis film was d Telugu remake of Kannada blockbuster
Jogi. Kadapa Mayor P Ravindranath Reddy was producing tis film on Eeswari Films
banner. A few fights of d choreography of Stun Siva were canned on Prabhas,
Pradeep Rawat n Subbaraju. Ramana Gogula provides music n Sameer Reddy handles
camera. Nayana Tara was doing female lead.
Superman Returns of Telugu
Suresh Movie Distributors have acquired d Telugu dubbing rights of latest
Hollywood blockbuster Superman Returns. d Telugu version will be released all
over AP on 14th of July with 35 prints. Suresh Movie distributors used to market
Hollywood films on behalf of production houses earlier. 4 d first time, Suresh
Movie Distributors bought d Telugu dubbing rights of a Hollywood film 4 whole AP
release with Superman Returns.
