Prakash Raj buys Happy Days Tamil remake rights
We had seen Tamil producers buying Telugu films after they had been declared a
blockbusters. But Prakash Raj
went a step ahead and bought the Tamil remake rights Sekhar Kammula’s latest
film Happy Days by paying a
royalty of 25 lakhs. It is learnt that he bought the rights of the film without
even watching Happy Days as he
has supreme confidence on Sekhar Kammula’s ability as director and the youth
appeal Happy Days oozes.
Krishna Vamsi to make Indian Freedom
Krishna Vamsi announced it today in Vijayawada that his next film is going to be
a high budgeted film titled
‘Indian Freedom’. Krishna Vamsi was planning to a film titled ‘Vande Mataram’
with Chiranjeevi for the past 8
years. The speculations are rife that this film could be the one with
Chiranjeevi as hero. Krishna Vamsi is in
Vijayawada today to take part in promotion of his latest film Chandamama.
Mallanna's extravagant invitations
Kalaipuli Thanu who is producing Mallanna with Vikram in the lead role made his
presence felt in Hyderabad
today with his extravagant invitations. He made electronic invitations which
costs 15000 rupees a piece to send
out to VIPs in Telugu film industry. The invitations that are given to the
journalists cost around 3000 rupees
a piece. Each invitation looks like a grand photo album. Vikram plays five
different roles in this film
including a get-up of a female. They release a trailer of 8.11 minutes duration.

2.5 crore table profit to Sekhar Kammula
Sekhar Kammula who spent a whopping 7 and half crores on Godavari minimized his
production cost for his next
venture ‘Happy Days’ and made it in a reasonable budget of 3 crores. He sold the
exhibition rights of entire AP
to Dil Raju at a fancy amount. He also sold off USA rights to a nice price. He
sold music rights to Big Music
(from the stables of Ad Labs, Reliance) for 20+ lakhs. He is said to have made a
solid table profit in excess
of 2 and half crores. He still retains the satellite rights which are expected
to fetch a minimum of 1 crore.
Iron Leg Sastry expired
Viswanadha Sastry who was known to public as ‘Iron Leg Sastry’ died today of
cardiac arrest. EVV introduced him to film industry with ‘Iron Leg Sastry’ role
of Premakhaidi film. He acted of more than 100 films so far. He was survived by
a wife n two children. May his soul rest of peace!

Audio of Gangaraju Gunnam’s latest film Amma Cheppindi will be released on 24th
of June. MM Keeravani scored music 4 tis film. Mrs. Sri Valli (w/o of music
director MM Keeravani) was starting a music label ‘Vel Records’ to promote good
music n Amma Cheppindi was going to be first album on tat label. tis film was
due 4 d release on 21st of July.

Neelakanta’s latest emotional thriller Nandanavanam 120 kms will be released on
30th of June. tis film introduces Ajay Varma n Manasa of d lead roles. tis film
will not have any songs. Vijay composed music n PG Vinda handled cinematography.
Evadaithe Nakenti fr 19th June
The unit of Evadaithe Nakenti recently traveled to Europe to can a few songs. d
next schedule of tis film will start on 19th of June. Samudra who made his debut
with Rajasekhar’s Simharasi was directing tis film. Ramana Gogula composes
music.
